      GiGi of Lymington Crew Profile

      Captain Name: Laurent Boudou

      Captain Nationality: Dutch

      Number of Crew: 2

      Laurent (34):

A Frenchman that grew up on the water – sailing, competitive swimming and wind surfing. After spending a handful of years working as a Social Worker, he took to the seas and has never looked back. Laurent spent a lot of time in La Ciotat getting to know boats from the inside out. From there he took to the seas for 7 years working on luxury sailing yachts, completed over 7 Atlantic Crossings and sailed in both the Caribbean and Asia. Laurent sailed to New Zealand, collected his wife and they are now continuing the adventure together. He is a genuine, curious and thoughtful Captain who wants everybody to have an unforgettable experience on the water. Also, well known for his Croque Monsieurs which he makes himself on Sundays!

      Catherine (34):

A South African whose nickname is ‘Curiosity Killed the Cat’ – she started to discover the world the moment she left school. Catherine has lived in 4 different countries and has a mild obsession with food and the hospitality industry which she spent 7 years in. The last 10 years have been spent between New Zealand and South Africa working in Recruitment with every spare moment spent discovering a new destination or culinary experience. After meeting Laurent, the sea seemed like a natural transition and a way to enjoy and share everything she loves in life. A bit of hedonist herself, she loves nothing more than taking people on that journey with her! And on Sunday’s you’ll find her out of the kitchen and pouring the Champagne.
