CAPTAIN: Robert Cunningham – British
Joined Spring 2018
Robert’s strong background in water-sports coaching and hospitality, paired with many years of experience on both sail and motor yachts have given him the skill set to run a safe, successful and enjoyable yacht for all on board. His introduction to yachting was in 2011 on board S/Y Dark Star of London as a deck hand, and he knew from the start that he had found his dream career. Robert worked hard preparing for his future by gaining the relative certificates required to climb up through the ranks. Robert has since accrued some serious sea time and has in-depth knowledge of a variety of cruising grounds including Spain and the Balearics, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica and South of
France. Robert admits that even when not on duty he cannot resist the water, with his main hobbies being surf, windsurf, dingy sailing and fishing.

Previous Yachts: S/Y Clan VII, M/Y Alturra.

STEWARDESS: Tamara Cunningham – New Zealander
Joined Spring 2018
Tamara grew up on Waiheke Island, New Zealand where she began working in hospitality and childcare from an early age. In 2011 she transferred these skills to the yachting industry when she joined S/Y MARIA ALBA as stewardess/nanny and realised she had found her calling. Since then, Tamara has strived to widen her experience, working on different yachts and in different roles. She is a quick learner and able to adapt to every situation that comes her way. Tamara is also a passionate cook and held the position as cook/stewardess on her last boat, M/Y ALTURRA where together with her husband, she formed a sturdy crew. Aside from the discovery of world cultures and cuisines, Tamara’s hobbies and interests lie mainly around sport and the water.
