LA VIE Chartering Accommodations

Comfortably sleeps 8 guests in 4 cabins. 2 double cabins and 2 convertible twin/double.

All cabins are located on the lower deck with an en-suite shower rooms with single sink area.

Master Cabin:
Full width stateroom located mid ship. Large windows flood the interior with natural light giving her a wonderfully bright, airy and spacious feel. The master cabin has a seating area and vanity unit. Fitted with a king size bed and equipped with a 47 inch LED TV (Samsung) and 8.3 litre safe in the stateroom.
Bed Size: 180 cm x 200 cm

VIP Cabin:
Located forward with a king size bed and equipped with a 28 inch LED TV (Samsung) and 8.3 litre safe in the cabin.

Twin Cabin:
2 x twin cabins which can both convert to double cabins if needed – each single bed is 75 cm x 190 cm. 28″ LED TV in both twin cabins.

Robert’s strong background in water-sports coaching and hospitality paired with many years of experience on both sail and motor yachts have given him the skill set to run a safe, successful and enjoyable yacht for all on board. His introduction to yachting was in 2011 on board S/Y Dark Star of London as a deck hand, and he knew from the start that he had found his dream career and from that moment, he went about preparing for his future by passing the relative exams and certificates required to climb up through the ranks.

Robert has since accrued some serious sea time and has in-depth knowledge of a variety of cruising grounds to include Spain and the Balearics, Italy, Sardinia, Corsica and South of France.

Robert admits that even when he’s not on duty – he can not resist the water and his pastime activities include surf, windsurf, dingy sailing and fishing.

CHEF: Marcel Smit – South African

Joined Spring 2018

Marcel describes himself as passionate, hardworking and reliable and he is very much looking forward to his 3rd season on board La Vie. This young South African was trained at Cordon Bleu – Silwood, he has a clear vision of what he wants and how he wants to achieve it and he is literally brimming with ideas and culinary drive.

Re- joining M/Y LA VIE for his 3rd season and with extensive work experience in high-end restaurants, he is proud to have worked at some of South Africa’s top listed establishments, including The Test Kitchen in Pretoria – which was awarded Number 1 Top Restaurant award in 2016.

Marcel loves the fresh markets of the Mediterranean and in his spare time adores experimenting with new flavours and recipes.
