CAPTAIN JACKSON MCHORNEY’S love of the sea comes naturally. A true “son of a son of a sailor,” he is the son and grandson of Chesapeake Bay sea captains. A former junior high school teacher turned full-time sailor, his 500,000 sea miles have included seeking out adventures in the sunny Caribbean, exploring the historic Spanish Main, and sailing up the exotic Rio Dulce in Guatemala. His visits to the Mediterranean have provided seaside adventures including meeting the rich and famous in St. Tropez, discovering archaeological treasures and ruins in Turkey and traipsing through the marketplaces of Casablanca, Morocco. Jackson has extensive knowledge of the eastern US seaboard, having ventured along his native coasts for the past 30 years. During his 30 years of chartering, Jackson has shared his love of the sea, knowledge of history and culture and enthusiasm for water sports with his guests. He especially enjoys teaching water skiing and sailing and introducing his guests to the breathtaking world beneath the water.
Captain Jackson has spent much time cruising all of the Bahamas chain and the Florida Keys, and is well versed in secret as well as popular locations in those areas!
A freelance mate/chef will be added for term charters.
