Ron and Kyla met while working on a charter yacht together in the Whitsunday Islands, Australia. They have also worked together on a luxury yacht in Japan for 2 years, and have been sailing aboard Lazy Travels for more than a year since her purchase in Majorca, Spain. Together Ron and Kyla are a great team who know how to provide a safe sailing vacation with quality service, lots of experience, and friendly personalities.

Captain Ron is a professional charter boat captain with over 15 years of experience. He knows how to create a great trip with the best snorkeling spots, calmest overnight anchorages, and customisable itineraries. Ron was first exposed to sailing as a young child when he circumnavigated the globe with his parents. Since then Ron has built his own 12m aluminium sailing yacht and sailed all over his home country of Australia, and the south west pacific. He has worked internationally in both Italy and Japan on luxury white boats. Ron has particular experience sailing with children from his 7 years working in Japan on a private family yacht. He has a service orientated, friendly personality and makes your safety and comfort his top priority.

Kyla has been living or working on various boats since she left Canada in 2013. Her experiences include a Pacific crossing, an Atlantic crossing, as well as working as professional charter crew on sailing yachts in Australia, and luxury powerboats in Japan. She is able to provide high level service in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. She has a passion for the sailing lifestyle, cooking delicious healthy meals, beach yoga, and warm tropical climates.
