Captain Ian Benjamin

Captain Ian Benjamin was born in Antigua and has been sailing since he was 10 years old when he learned how to sail from his uncle, a very skilled sailor.
He later as a young man, went on to work on catamaran day charter boats in Antigua. As his sailing experience grew along with his skills and love for sailing, he delivered boats from St. Maarten to the Grenadines.
Later becoming employed by Broad Reach International, a summer sailing school for children ages 14 to 18, he taught sailing, diving and other maritime skills. Ian has since sailed the Caribbean and Bermuda extensively along with the Pacific Coast. He has captained the Trans-Atlantic through the Panama Canal, and Mediterranean Sea. Ian currently resides in South Florida and is an active catamaran captain enjoying the benefits of charter life and being able to share his experiences, genuine hospitality skills and love for Florida and the Bahamas with his charter guests . With his extensive safety training and attention to detail aboard, his guests experience the best of sailing has to offer with a safe and competent captain.
