JAMES “JIMMY” GASKINS | AMERICAN | CAPTAIN/ENGINEER
Jimmy is a Florida native. Born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, FL he grew up surfing, swimming, fishing, snorkeling, and essentially enjoying all things the ocean has to offer. Post college, Jimmy decided to work at his family owned boatyard and ships store in St. Augustine, FL. After learning the ins and outs of the business, from the hands on aspect of bottom jobs to the one on one in person dealings with the yacht owners themselves, Jimmy understood what it takes to maintain a yacht. Jimmy ultimately ended up working in the fishing charter industry, which after 7 years parlayed into the private industry where he has found his comfort zone in running everything from center consoles to large sport fish to motor yachts. Having been in the industry for 20 years Jimmy understands the importance of safety. He instills this in his crew and maintaining the vessel accordingly to ensure all aboard are at ease when it comes to safety and responsibility providing nothing less than 100% to the guests. Although having the utmost confidence in the crew Jimmy will always keep a watchful eye on every aspect of your vacation to ensure it’s the most safe and memorable one on OUR HERITAGE. Jimmy loves fishing, boating, traveling and all things ocean related.
