LA LINEA Crew Profile

Captain Name: Danny Del Valle

Captain Nationality: USA

Number of Crew: 2

“Danny” has over a decade of experience on and in the waters of the Caribbean. He has his 100 ton Masters License and is a PADI certified diver. His love affair with the water started in Puerto Rico, where he lived and worked as an avid Sport Fisherman. He is now respected for his knowledge in deep-sea and big game fishing throughout the Caribbean. So, while on charter…if you are lucky enough to catch “the big one” (including lobster) Danny is also a trained chef with expertise in International Cuisine and would be more than happy to fire up the grill. He feels that there is nothing better than fresh from sea to table!

“Abbie” Grew up on a lake, sailing on her sunfish and always looking for new water sports to learn. Her first job was as a lifeguard and later she took up scuba diving – it’s no wonder that she ended up in the Caribbean as a Water Sport Instructor and then Mate on several sailing vessels. She has studied under different chefs and is happy to fuse the knowledge gained from each of them to treat you with dishes focused around fresh, local, ingredients.

Studying Zoology in college, Abbie has become a knowledgeable wildlife naturalist guide. Abbie founded a non-profit Jaguar Identification Project. In the off-season summer months – Abbie can be found hosting volunteers and working with camera trap research studying wild Jaguars in the very remote Brazilian Pantanal.

Danny and Abbie met on a Sailing adventure. Danny was the captain and Abbie, being a water sports instructor, invited Danny to join her for a sail on a Hobie Cat. Since then, they have been sailing the islands together. Danny and Abbie love to travel and love adventure and know that you will truly enjoy discovering all that the USVI and BVI has to offer as you share your next adventure with them. In addition… they love to put their video skills to good use and create short films for their happy charter guest to remember their week in the beautiful Virgin Islands.
