***THE CAPTAIN
Steve has spent his whole life living on or by the sea, at 16 he started as an apprentice with Princess Yachts which started his love for hospitality, sailing and everything to do with the sea.
Steve has been a professional sailor for over 15 years and his experience has included, teaching sailing courses in Spain, the Balearics and the BVI, delivering yachts all over Europe and the Caribbean, running charters for the prestigious “Four Seasons resort” and skippering charter and private yachts including a 90’ classic sloop in the Caribbean and Bahamas. He has over 50,000 miles as skipper including 5 transatlantic deliveries but his real love is sailing in the BVI and rest of the Caribbean, which he knows intimately, in fact he has navigated to every Island from Puerto Rico in the North to Trinidad in the south.

Steve is a keen wooden boat enthusiast and loves to compete in traditional sailing regattas during his free time. He is also a master carpenter specializing in joinery and furniture.
Steve is an RYA Yacht-master, IYT Master Unlimited, RYA, ASA and IYT sailing Instructor and PADI open water diver, he consistently receives outstanding customer reviews for his relaxed style, unflappable nature and friendly personality from everyone who sails with him.

***THE CHEF

Chef Roma Stopforth is from South Africa. She has over 30 years experience in the Restaurant and Hospitality industry. She has both worked in and owned her own restaurants. She is very experienced in all types of cuisine. She is happy and able to cater for most dietary needs.

For the last 8 years, Roma has called the Caribbean home. This is reflected in her dishes using local products and flavors to create unique, wonderful fusion dishes. Her meal never fail to impress.

Roma has an outgoing personality and loves to entertain her guests and spoil them with fine food. She also has a vast knowledge of the BVI and loves to share it!

Qualifications: 30 years at the University of life cooking school. STCW 2010. PADI Dive Master. Emergency First Responder.

***THE STEWARDESS

Gemma Martinez has sailed and chartered throughout the Med and the Caribbean, as well as doing deliveries across the Atlantic and up and down the US East Coast. She enjoys surfing, scuba diving, skiing, and of course sailing. In addition to her native Spanish, Gemma also speaks English and Norwegian.

*** Relief Skipper Capt. Olivier
With more than 6 years experience as a professional Captain and skipper on racing sailing yacht. I gained more than 10 000 nautical miles cruising the Caribbean, the east coast of the USA and Canada. I have extensive experience in chartering the Virgins Islands as well as in lesser known locations. I have a strong focus on providing safe, secure and an enjoyable environment for our guests.
Olivier is no stranger to THE ANNEX, having assisted in delivering her forth and back to the Virgin Islands. Olivier has chartered in the Virgins for the past 5 seasons, and is fully familiar with the yacht.
